What I love about summer is enjoying days like these. Good weather, good food and good company. This week, we’ve been blessed with beautiful Sydney weather, so my friend and I decided to take advantage of it and hit up Watsons Bay for the day! We wanted to try out this food hub by the water that everyone raves about here called Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel. We had to see for ourselves.

It’s a 20 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay and once you hop off, it’s right outside; a short one minute walk. I loved the ambience and chill vibe of the place and they played some cool music to set the summer-y mood. I loved that you got to enjoy the view whilst enjoying your meal.
My friend ordered the Hot Smoked Trout Salad with avocado, walnuts, apple, celery, citrus dressing. It was packed with flavour and you could really taste the smokiness of the trout.
I ordered their Roasted Atlantic Salmon with cucumber salad, pomegranate & lemon infused olive oil yoghurt. And yes, it did taste as good as it looked.
One thing I wasn’t the biggest fan of was how confusing ordering food and drinks were. There were no waiters to take your order, we had to go to the bar to order… and there were quite a few drink stations on site. But nonetheless, we both enjoyed our food, the weather and the view.
Because we were there, it was a must to go to the beach. We headed to Camp Cove beach, a family-friendly environment, just under 10 minutes walk from the ferry station.
We enjoyed a couple hours here just relaxing, listening to music, reading and snacking on fruit before we headed up near the rocks and witnessed this gorgeous view… Well done Sydney.
After more relaxing from this vantage point haha… we did the Watsons Bay coastal walk. It was so amazing to see the oceans and to feel the strong, cooling winds on the hot day we went.
By favourite part of the walk was seeing the Sydney skyline from the cliff. The sight of this makes me love the city I live in. I would LOVE to come back to this view at sunset one day.
