I really love spring. The weather warms up, we get to wear floaty skirts, opened toe shoes without freezing our feet off, and it’s time to put away all the coats, boots, scarves and heavy clothing with duller palettes, while swapping it for bright and cheerful colors.
[expand title=”Continue reading”] I have always loved wearing pencil skirts – I think it makes ladies look really elegant and classy, and when I spotted this piece from Zara in white lace, I knew it was something I had to have in my wardrobe. White is super versatile and lace is something that forever remains timeless through all the fads and trends that the fashion world seems to churn out.
I decided to pair it with an emerald green v-neck blouse, also from Zara. Green is a surprisingly GORGEOUS color! I’m really sad that people don’t wear it more often. I think girls are under the impression that it is a color that is not versatile, bad for the skin tone, and generally boring. But ladies, it is all about the cut and the actual SHADE of green. This particular tone (emerald green) looks AMAZING on pale skin tones, olive skin tones, asians, etc. And goes well with black, white and gold! How much more versatile can one get? :D I dare all of you to try an emerald green piece over this spring – whether it is in a beautiful midi skirt, or a top. Get the right shade, and wear it in a cut that flatters your body, and you are all set! I chose a v-neck blouse because it is slimming on girls who are slightly more top heavy (yup, i cannot wear round neck or high neck blouses as I end up looking really fat or stumpy since it hides more of my neck and shoulder area) or want to hide your arms :)
Hope you enjoy this outfit of the day post! :)
