Introducing… DIY Chalkboard Wrapping Paper! I’ve been seeing this around in gift wrapping a lot lately and I’m absolutely loving the trend. Jenny & I are currently obsessing over Chalkapella‘s wrapping paper set. I’ve been enjoying experimenting with different styles and alternative uses for this! In the set, you get given a roll of chalkboard wrapping paper, a template where you can trace interesting shapes for your design work and of course some chalk to draw on the paper with!

I wanted to play around with gift wrapping and packaging, so I tried out some cool designs possible for birthday gifts or thank you gifts and honestly, the possibilities are endless! I was able to use my creativity and design whatever I liked.
I experimented with a cute polka dot pattern here and finished it off with some twine.
I played around with gift tags for this one and made a simple visual for the front.
Other alternative uses I came up with included hand lettering and framing them up to make cool house decorations :) Other things I would use chalk paper for would be to make paper book covers to revamp your books! They would also make awesome party or wedding invites.
And they not only provide white chalk but other colours too! Colours would be a great accent to whatever you decide to design :)
