Japan Photo Diary | Part II

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

Okay so apologies for posting part two so late! I’ve been so preoccupied with uni assignments and work that fitting this in to my schedule was a bit of a struggle. But alas! It’s Friday¬†night and I thought I’d give myself a break from all the chaos during the week. So here is part two from my Japan trip. We ate so much food, I’m not even kidding. But it was so worth it. Here, I’ve shared with you moments mostly from Osaka…

I still can’t believe how I finished this 20cm soft serve! Tasted soooo good though. I think the was called Daily Choco, located in Osaka.

Universal Studios is a must, however if you’re going during peak season, waiting for roller coaster rides was the worst, especially when it’s 32 degrees and the wait period is two hours long.

Went a bit crazy on the buns at Universal Studios haha…

Hokkaido milk soft serve! Can’t miss this if you ever go!

Tried a popular ramen place in Tokyo station on our last day called Rokurincha. Waiting period was around 40-45 minutes.

Some of the goods I bought when I was there :) Their stationery is to die for.

Overall, I had a really great trip and created amazing memories with dear friends. I would definitely want to go back some day and visit places I didn’t get to go during this trip and see the more cultural side of Japan rather than just eating and shopping :)

I’ll also be heading over to Hong Kong and Malaysia in a few months to meet Jenny’s daughter! So keep you eyes peeled for travel photos then :)

Excuse my disappointing Japanese writing. I don’t know the language. I just copied “konnichiwa” in Google translate. Yep. But focusing on the more important thing… I went to Japan last month! This was my first time travelling with friends… which was interesting… but mostly fun :) I’ve shared some snippets here and there, a general summary of my trip. It was hard picking the main highlights (because there were so many!), but I think I’ve got a nice collection for you all to look through, otherwise you guys would be scrolling for years haha.

We started off in Tokyo first, staying in a quaint and cosy apartment in Shibuya, not far from the city centre. The first day was mostly spent exploring the city and familiarising ourselves to our home for the next week.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetThe infamous Shibuya crossing, which gets hectic during night time and peak hours. We got to enjoy this view during lunch at L’occitane Cafe :)

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetBut of course we couldn’t say no to Japanese favourites and we found this amazing 24/7 ramen place called Ichiran. Holy crap I’m getting hungry as I’m writing this…

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetThis view could not be missed! And we were lucky enough to witness it at sundown at Roppongi Hills. How pretty are these pink hues!

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetMori Art Museum was also located in Roppongi Hills and I swear Japanese art is insane. Their minimalism is on point.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetOf course… Disneyland. SUCH A FUN DAY. I spent so much money on food and merchandise, but it was TOTALLY worth it. First Disneyland experience was a definite success!

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetAbundance of sorbets to cool off… it was bloody hot that day. But still worth.

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb2 presetWe decided to go to Tolo Cafe & Bakery for brunch one day to try these adorable Totoro cream puffs! And we couldn’t resist the pasta. Tasted so good….

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetSpent some time in Harajuku landing ourselves with some pretty cheap finds! And crepes. As good as mine looked… the top half was just cream, when I was anticipating ice cream :( Lesson learnt for next time!

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetCouldn’t pass up Calbee’s chocolate drizzled potato chips with Hokkaido milk soft serve. It was like Maccas fries with soft serve, but next level. SO GOOD.

Sorry that a lot of these photos are just food, but that is seriously what we did mostly on our trip! Part two will be up soon where my Japan adventures continued in Osaka! Stay tuned :)
