Christmas Printables

Hey all :)

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. And some of you may have noticed that I’ve been less active on social media. But all for good reason! Exciting stuff is happening next year…. I’ll be going on exchange to London next month! As part of an academic program at uni, I got accepted to study there for a semester; hence why I’ve been so MIA. I’ve been so busy organising everything, with form after form and payments after payments, it’s been a little crazy to say the least – especially when you have so many other things going on in life that add to the pile. Nonetheless, I’m beyond excited for this new journey to begin. I’ll be sharing lots with you through social media, so be sure to keep connected with us :) I’ll also be updating the blog more regularly so you can come along with me as I travel through Europe. Speaking of the blog… it has been needing some love lately – so I thought I would update it with a little Christmas gift to you guys. For those last minute present buyers (i.e. me), this one’s for you. I’ve created a set of Christmas cards with 3 designs for you to pass onto your loved ones this year :)  Just click on the ‘Download’ button below and print them out!

I hope you enjoy & Merry Christmas!

Two Thousand Sixteen Calendar

IMG_0656

Hello friends!

Boy, am I late for this post. Like REALLY LATE. I’ve had so much on my plate prior to the new year with end of year final assessments at uni, to working 2 jobs (now 3) and juggling other things in between. Firstly, I wasn’t even going to make a 2016 calendar because I thought – I’m never going to get it ready before the new year (and I didn’t haha). But last year I made a cute little customised 2015 calendar for my brother’s family which they loved (and I loved seeing it hang in their home whenever I visited). And I offered to make another calendar for them! So now that I’ve gotten into the routine of 2016, my productivity has been improving! Thus, my calendar is finally finished.  A few of you were interested in having this one for your homes too which is why I’ve decided to upload this to the blog for you to print :)

I hope it finds a nice place in your bedroom or living room or walls. Please tag us on Instagram if you do end up using my calendar! I would love to see pictures :)

Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel

2b copy

What I love about summer is enjoying days like these. Good weather, good food and good company. This week, we’ve been blessed with beautiful Sydney weather, so my friend and I decided to take advantage of it and hit up Watsons Bay for the day! We wanted to try out this food hub by the water that everyone raves about here called Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel. We had to see for ourselves.

It’s a 20 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay and once you hop off, it’s right outside; a short one minute walk. I loved the ambience and chill vibe of the place and they played some cool music to set the summer-y mood. I loved that you got to enjoy the view whilst enjoying your meal.

My friend ordered the Hot Smoked Trout Salad with avocado, walnuts, apple, celery, citrus dressing. It was packed with flavour and you could really taste the smokiness of the trout.

3

I ordered their Roasted Atlantic Salmon with cucumber salad, pomegranate & lemon infused olive oil yoghurt. And yes, it did taste as good as it looked.

One thing I wasn’t the biggest fan of was how confusing ordering food and drinks were. There were no waiters to take your order, we had to go to the bar to order… and there were quite a few drink stations on site. But nonetheless, we both enjoyed our food, the weather and the view.

Because we were there, it was a must to go to the beach. We headed to Camp Cove beach, a family-friendly environment, just under 10 minutes walk from the ferry station.

We enjoyed a couple hours here just relaxing, listening to music, reading and snacking on fruit before we headed up near the rocks and witnessed this gorgeous view… Well done Sydney.

After more relaxing from this vantage point haha… we did the Watsons Bay coastal walk. It was so amazing to see the oceans and to feel the strong, cooling winds on the hot day we went.

By favourite part of the walk was seeing the Sydney skyline from the cliff. The sight of this makes me love the city I live in. I would LOVE to come back to this view at sunset one day.

Hong Kong Photo Diary

Feature Image

I think it’s safe to say that I ended 2015 with some great memories. Last month I was able to spend a short six days in Hong Kong and it was such a great experience! This was my first time visiting Hong Kong (being in HK airport for transit one time sadly doesn’t count – despite how much I loved their airport).

I loved the hustle and bustle of this city and it seemed great in the beginning, but this super high-density living, fast paced and crowded hub is somewhere I cannot imagine myself living in long term. It’s insane over there.

Obviously I couldn’t pass up on the desserts?!

Apart from HK’s congee, their roast goose was BOMB. We had to go for second rounds before we left. Heck yeah. The one pictured below is from a restaurant with a 1 Michelin star rating.

One of my highlights was definitely overlooking Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui. Again, it was SUPER crowded, but the view and atmosphere made up for it.

Victoria Peak was pretty cool… another highlight was riding in Hong Kong’s oldest mode of transport; peak tram. The fog was pretty stubborn that day, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time!

En route back to Sydney…

Surprise! I made a short video with all my compiled footage from the trip! This is really nerve-wracking for me because it’s my first time editing a video and I know I’m a real amateur with this stuff, so it’d be great if you could show it some love… and maybe some advice! Also, I had issues with the music and the original song had some copyright issues, so I had to settle for the current one. Hope you enjoy :)

So, I’m jetting off in 6 days to Hong Kong and Malaysia! It’ll be my first Christmas away from home in a long time, which is sad, but exciting all at the same time. I’ll be meeting Jenny’s daughter, Sienna for the first time which I’m really looking forward to :) I’ll also be documenting my travels and posting them on Instagram and here, on the blog, so be sure to watch this space in the duration of my overseas endeavours.
